I guess all I need to know now is, how many calories in a cigar? Noom doesn’t seem to know.
I must be doing something right, because I’m down 35 pounds since July. I’ve lost enough that I’m approaching XL territory instead of my usual 2XL. I’ve lost enough mass that I now fit in my favorite henley again. It’s orange with dark blue sleeves (surprise!) . My husband bought it for me 7 years ago and I haven’t been able to wear it for a few years because it was XL. And now, the Broncos are 1-0 when I’m wearing it. COINCIDENCE? I think not.
(Let’s be honest. I’m gonna go over my calories today. I just poured myself another double and cracked open another can. It’s a little too early for dinner.)
Normally at this point I’d be all WOO IMMA TAKE MY TOP OFF but my henley is good luck. So instead I’m gonna Winnie the Pooh it.
Oh, and I never did go look at that Hyundai Venue. I really hate the fact that the manual version only came with steelies coupled with terrible wheel covers. I did consider looking at a blue one with the SEL package because that blue is GORGEOUS and I really like sunroofs. The more I think about it, though, I really don’t think I want it. I’d rather have 1) a V8 4x4 Ram, 2) a V8 Challenger, 3) a V8 (sensing a theme here?) Korean luxury car, 4) a base 2-door Ford Bronco with the 7-speed , or 5) a blue extended-cab 4x4 Ford Ranger.

Hell, I can’t exactly criticize. I’m sure I’d be making even more progress if I cut out the alcohol and stogies. But I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Real talk... I hate the hot and spicy McChicken. It’s spicy but HAS NO FLAVOR. It’s just hot for no reason.
I’d rather have the regular old McChicken. It was like a giant McNugget on a bun.

The bills have but me on edge to where I need the 9.3% probably just one for now. Yes, the Bills have to beat the Jets. For my own sanity, to continue to be the only true NY team, and to get a redemption win after the past two losses. Of course the Bills are the Bills and they will continue to shoot themselves in the foot and pull out a last second win

When I was diagnosed ‘pre-diabetic’ in June, my doctor said I needed to loose weight . More emphasis these days is put on carbs rather than calories.
From late June to early September I went down from a tight 48" waist to a loose 42" waste. I ate lots of chicken and eggs, small amount of pork, food low carb foods such as tortillas and soft drinks that used stevia. Dia betes U.K. suggests no more than three units of alcohol a day. Guinness draught only has 10g of carb s, one of which is sugars, so all is good. Aldo Erdinger non alcohol beer is a great German non alcoholic beer that is full of other vitamins and isotonic benefits (the German Olympic association can’t be totally wrong), the good thing is it actually tastes like full proper beer.
I’m no longer classed as ‘pre-diabetic after getting my levels from 55 down to 41.
I have a small amount of white rice, make it into egg fried rice, add a sauce, chicken and some veg. Job done.
The RDA for carbs in the U.K. is 260g, for a low carb diet aim for less than 90g. I was aiming for 50g, no more than 90g in a day.
Tonight I had egg fried rice with chicken in teriyaki sauce. Can of Sapporo and a bottle of Trooper.

I’ve found a protein shake that I really like. Only one gram sugar, 5 carbs total. It’s called Premier Protein. I include one in my lunch every day.
In general I try to limit carbs. I’ve added so many hard-boiled eggs to my lunches. Thank heavens for Lo wry’s Seasoning Salt.

It took quite a bit of strength to cut back on potatoes, pasta and rice, but it’s paid off.
There is a new theory of high carb for two days, regular carbs for two and then low carbs for two days. It’s supposed to kick your system into action again, but I may try it next year, see how my diabetic review goes in early December.
Funny thing. Before I was given the clear in mid September, the doctors surgery still had me down as diabetic. So it asked me to go in for diabetic review last Friday. I went in to have my bloods taken and the nurse, Lisa, asked if I was well, I said yes, but a little confused, she said, ‘me too!’. So instead of taking bloods, we rebooked the appointment and she asked if I wanted to stay as we still had time to kill if I didn’t want to leave, so we had a good chat and a bit of a laugh. She’s a great lass, really easy going.
I love my doctors surgery.

Maybe I’m unique. I can avoid potatoes, pastas, and rice.
One thing that helps, I can have the same thing for lunch every day. I pack the same simple chicken and cheese sandwich, along with a protein shake and hard boiled eggs, and veggies.

Ye’, bread too. Typically bread is around 12-18g per slice.
Wholemeal is better than white because although it’s just as high in carbs, there are other benefits such as more fibre, vitamins and miners that is refined out of the flour used in white bread.
In the U.K. much of U.K. food is potato based, I ndian and Chinese food, rice based and Italian food, pasta and/or bread based. These are the four most common food types here plus kebabs, not so much Greek/Turkish on the whole, just the kebab part. Lol.

Yeah, hence the 4x. I guess a single dose is like 2-3 pickles, so they think double = extra = 4. It seems they get what I’m about when I say quadruple.
